Power Swing Weight Trainer Launches
If you’re a golfer looking to quickly and effectively improve your golf swing speed, power and distance, you’ll want to take a look at our Power Golf Swing Weight Trainer.
I am always on the lookout for golf swing trainers that will help golfers add more power and distance, and this one “fits the bill” completely!
It is now part of my power training routine, and I can already feel a difference in my flexibility and power.
It’s ONLY a fraction of the cost of a weighted club, and it’s the most portable of all of them!

Increase Golf Swing Speed
Golfers want more distance. You have to increase your golf swing speed to get it! Line up a 100 of them and 95% of them will raise their hand when asked if they want to improve distance. Why is distance such a yearning for golfers? I thought the ball has to go in the hole to shoot lower scores?
There’s no denying that more distance (in the fairway) is a HUGE advantage. Being able to hit shorter clubs into the greens will increase your accuracy and give you more chances at birdie. Being the LONGEST hitter in your foursome will play mind games with your playing partners.
There are many advantages of hitting it longer, so how do you get those extra yards?
You have to increase your golf swing (and clubhead) speed to improve your distance. The faster (but in control) your swing is, the more compression you impart on the golf ball, making it go further. But…let me add that it’s not swinging harder that increases clubhead speed. It’s several things combined that will increase your swing speed.
Making a full turn (90+ degree shoulder turn with only 45 degrees of hip turn). Starting the downswing with your lower body first, allowing you to retain all that stored energy in your core for a powerful blow on the ball. Being able to aggressively rotate through the ball with a square clubface. Having your highest amount of swing speed through and after the ball and not before like most golfers.
All the above requires one CRITICAL component to be able to pull it off. Do you want to know what that is? You may not want to hear it! You have to be in better shape physically to do any of the above. If you do not have the required core strength and flexibility you will not be able to perform the above moves in your golf swing.
It’s a FACT!
A lower level of both strength and flexibility will continue to hold you back from achieving optimal driving distance.
That is the sole reason I put together my Effortless Golf Swing Training System. To help you quickly achieve higher swing speeds with no additional effort. That’s the KEY to longer drives. Not swinging harder, but letting your newfound strength and flexibility do their job effortlessly.
If you’re not willing to put a little time in on your body (BIG mistake), you can quickly pick up some swing speed with a weighted golf club.

Tis The Season For Cheap Golf Clubs
November can be a tough time for a lot of golfers. Many (including SirPutts and I) are forced to put away their clubs for the season and dream about warmer days ahead. It’s not all doom and gloom though… this is the best time of year to find great deals on golf clubs.
Every now and then we like to search the web for some of the best deals on golf clubs. We might be months away from using them but it doesn’t mean we can’t still buy them! Let’s search some of our favorite golf club sites and make a bargain bag!
Driver – There are a ton of great deals out there but we really like the Adams Insight BUL at $149.99 USD. This driver made the 2007 Golf Digest Hot List and is a steal at $149.99. Better players may want to look at the Insight BTY for the same price. There are a few sites with this price… we found it on Golfsmith .Fairway Wood – I think we’ll stick with Adams here. The RPM fairway woods are a solid option and are an even better choice when you can pick them up for $69.99 each. The guys over at Rock Bottom Golf have these on special and seem to have a pretty good selection of options as well. If you like low profile fairway woods… you’ll like this club.Players Iron
– The Wilson Pi5 irons didn’t get a ton of praise… mainly because not many people gave them a chance. The Pi5’s are probably the best Wilson iron in recent memory and they’re priced to clear right now.Looking for a new set of irons? Swing by Rock Bottom Golf and find these for $229.99.
Game Improvement Iron – There are a lot of choices here. Nike has quietly introduced a few great “value game improvement” options over the past few years. The NDS were a real sleeper and the Ignite combo set has been a real hit with our customers. This is a great set for the price. Rock Bottom Golf has these at $329.99 right now although I found some older ads mentioning that they may have recently been even less at Golfsmith.Hybrid – Nickent is quickly becoming one of the most recognizable names in the hybrid business. The 3DX Ironwood really helped Nickent get on the map and it’s still available at a great price if you don’t mind searching a bit. Golfsmith has these at $59.99 each in graphite shaft.
Looking for steel shafts or different lofts? A quick search of other online stores should help you find what you’re looking for. Most places we looked at had various lofts and shafts for around the same price. There are some great deals to be had if you don’t mind looking around. Tis the season for savings! Thanks for dropping by and we’ll talk to you soon!

New TaylorMade Burner Products
We’ve talked a little bit recently about the new TaylorMade clubs that will be hitting the market soon and the company has now made it official. The new TaylorMade Burner XD irons, Burner Draw driver, and Burner TP fairway woods have been officially released.
More info can be found on the official website at www.taylormadegolf.com.The Burner XD irons look like they will be a replacement club for the R7 XD line. The club is oversized for maximum forgiveness with a titanium face and “Inverted Cone Technology” for increased ball speed. This club has an interesting look to it, definitely worth checking out.The Burner Draw driver is exactly what it sounds like. A Burner but with more slice-correcting technology. The bullet-shaped head has an extremely high MOI with a greater draw bias built in to the head.
In other news Srixon has announced their latest product launch. The Srixon ZR-W driver, Z-Steel fairway wood, WG-06 wedges, I-701 and I-701 Tour series irons, and P-700 series putter. These clubs should be in stores shortly. Head over to www.srixon-worldwide.com for more info.

What Golf Driver To Get
I am looking at getting a Macgregor Eye-O-Matic driver. Only $49.00, I thought I would get this (decent driver) & play with some shafts. I am looking at the UST Irod driver shaft. One that will help me get the ball higher but still has little torque to help keep it straight. Am I thinking right????I hit the ball on a line, not high at all. I hit my driver good, but if it wasnt for roll I would be real short. I thinking right about a low torque shaft & one that has a low kick point to get the ball up but still straight. Do I need to look for one with more torque? What affect does torque have on a drivers loft, if any? I have the Sasquatch in 9.5 with stock Mitsubishi that has 4.5* of torque & still do not hit it as high as my FT-3 with a Prolaunch Blue.
The one thing I do not like about the Prolaunch is it seems to be a bit bigger around the grip. My friend has noticed this also. He has the Aldila NV shaft & there is some difference.
There are a number of different things that you are going to have to consider here.
1. A low torque shaft can help keep the ball straight in the right set up.
Today’s lower torque shafts are designed for a 460 cc driver head. If you are looking at the smaller 400 cc Eye-O-Matic don’t go with a low torque shaft. Here’s the reason: A low torque shaft is good in a large head because it prevents the club from twisting at impact. This means your miss-hits will stay straighter. When a player makes the mistake of getting in to a shaft that doesn’t have enough torque they will never be able to square up the clubface properly and will hit everything to the right (for a right-handed golfer).
2. Generally low torque shafts have a very firm tip section. A firmer tip section will move the kick point higher up the shaft and produce a low ball flight. Some of the newer shafts on the market (notably the ProLaunch and the iRod) have been able to actually combine a stiff tip section with a lower kick point to give you the best of both worlds. So while there are a couple of shafts that will offer low torque with a high ball flight, there aren’t many.
3. Most graphite driver shafts have a butt diameter of about .600 inches.
The Grafalloy ProLaunch is right on spec with that and is actually smaller than the Aldila NV by about .015″. It is probably a different size grip that is throwing you off.
4. The overall flex of a shaft will also have a big effect on your ball flight. If you are hitting the ball too low try a more flexible shaft.
If you do decide to purchase this MacGregor driver I would make sure you buy the 460 cc head in at least 10.5 degrees of loft (more if its available). Then you can try some different shaft combinations.
I would rather see you work with the two drivers you currently have as both are much better clubs than the MacGregor. The FT-3 especially is a good driver and you already have a good shaft in it. I don’t know what loft or flex you have in this club but I doubt that you would be able to find any shaft combination in the MacGregor that would outperform your Callaway.

Cart Golf Bags
Cart golf bags are the rage! With so many golf courses making it very difficult to walk the course, golf bags for your court are becoming very popular.
I went shopping for one last week and found an amazing one! It is a Sun Mountain bag that has every bell and whistle imaginable. In fact, the best feature is an entire side cooler that will hold all my water, nutrition bars and fruit without getting crushed.
Cart golf bags can really pay off if you choose the right one!

Golf Equipment Reviews
If you’ve read any of my articles or posts on this blog, you’ll know I’m not a huge proponent for going out and buying new golf equipment everytime your game goes south. But if you’re in the market for a new driver, irons, putter or gofl equipment, I do believe you need to do a little research first.
A great site for golf reviews is About Golf.
I’ve referred many of my subscribers and customers to this site and they were never disappointed. There are hundreds of golf review sites on the net, but this one covers pretty much everything you’ll need to know about the latest, greatest golf equipment.
My Favorite Golf Driver
How many golf drivers do you have in your garage? Come on…how many?
I have five of them!
I will admit, I only purchase a new golf driver about every 4-5 years, since my philosophy…”it’s not your equipment, it’s your body” is what I live by.
But every now and again, I get the itch to go to my local golf store…and god only knows what I’ll come out with.
About a year ago, when I was visiting family back in Oregon, I came across a brand new golf store. Golf Galaxy was the name. For Oregon, it was awesome!
For the record, I wasn’t even looking for a new golf driver, but I proceeded to ask a young kid working there about their latest greatest drivers.
I’ve never before done this, but he lined up 10, yes…10 drivers for me to hit in this virtual screen that supposedly shows ball flight and distance.
I started going through them one-by-one and eliminating the ones that didn’t feel right. But it was comical…the screen was showing my average drive to be over 330 yards and my ball speed to be over 175mph. I don’t know how much I believe those gadgets, but I do hit my drives consistently over 300 when I play.
Anyways…I finally picked the Mizuno golf driver with a 9.5 degree loft. The shaft is just a standard stiff that weighs 75 grams.
I love this driver!
I’ve never hit a driver so far and straight. For a hack like me, it is very forgiving, and allows me to give it a good rip.
I still believe..”it’s not your equipment”, but it sure is fun to get something new once in a while.
