Core exercise for golf is the key for any golfer to improve golf power, driving distance and golf swing speed rapidly.

The touring pros are all working on their core exercise for golf with their trainers. The television commentators have even mentioned it in regards to Vijay Singh.

They say he throws a heavy medicine ball for his core, throughout the week of every tournament.

Core Golf Exercises are Rotational

The golf swing is rotational. It's a turn back and a turn through. This is the primary movement, and should be the main focus when doing your core golf training exercises.

Many so-called golf training routines ignore this approach, and the golfer ends up not improving golf swing speed, power and distance. Frustration sets in. and the golfer gives up on golf training altogether.

We don't want that!

Golf Stretches For Your Core

Along with strengthening exercises for your core, you've got to implement core golf stretching exercises. These core golf stretches should also be rotational in nature. This will give you the biggest benefit to improving your backswing range of motion and also a full follow through.

Core golf stretching exercises should incorporate more of a dynamic (movement) feel, than the standard static (hold) approach. This is because the golf swing is one fluid movement. Not at any point is the golf swing a hold or isometric.

Moving in and out of your core golf stretches rotationally will turn your golf swing into a power swing.

Stability and Weighted Medicine Balls and Exercise Tubing

The golf training equipment you can use to train your core is inexpensive, and can be easily stored in your home. The fitness products I'm talking about are hand weights, stability balls, exercise tubing and weighted medicine balls.
